OrderClose to Rockefeller Center. Nice selection of gluten-free, vegetarian and "carnivore" fare and it all tasted amazing! Eggplant appetizer was delicious served with tasty fresh bread. Lamb shank was falling off the bone tender. Unfortunately, did not leave enough room for dessert. Nice ambiance, great service and clean bathrooms. Highly recommend! 👍
The food is AMAZING!!!!! We frequently order our office lunch from Akdeniz. Our office staff is culturally diverse and despite our varying tastes, everyone absolutely loves the food! The hummus and zucchini pancakes are off the charts!!! The staff and service is always on point. We always recommend this as the #1 go-to for local friends and our clients visiting from out of town!
Akdeniz Mediterranean cuisine in New York City is an absolute gem! The food is truly authentic, with bold flavors and fresh ingredients. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the ambiance is cozy and inviting. The menu is extensive, offering a taste of the Mediterranean. I highly recommend the beef kebab platter, which is always cooked to perfection. The hummus is the best in the city.The desserts are also not to be missed, I recommend kunefe! Overall, I had an excellent dining experience and can't wait to come back. 5 stars all around!
It's my favorite Mediterranean restaurant. I have been going there for lunch for years and it's been consistently great. Always fresh ingredients and they will try their best to make sure you are happy.
Despite the vast competition in NYC, you won't find a better Turkish restaurant. Akdeniz has authentic and delicious food and professional, personable and amicable staff. If your in the need for a mid-week pick me up, I'd highly recommend their Turkish coffee.
